What are you grateful for? Today I took a trip down memory lane as I showed my dad the different rooms, apartments, and houses I have lived in over the past 7 years. And I realize how far I have come since that moment at the airport in Murtala Mohammed Airport, about to catch my flight to Canada to start a Masters in Human resource Management and thinking, what the heck am I doing? And where in the world am I going?
I say all that to mean that, it is easy for us to be hard on ourselves in the moment thinking about all the things that you have not yet achieved, or all the things that you are still working towards. But today, I chose to pause, give myself a high-five, and say, Jomi, you have done amazing, you have achieved some terrific things you could never have imagined on that day at the airport. I acknowledge that you are just an awesome person.
